Description
These beautiful collages were displayed in various noticeboards for the duration of the festival weekend. Take a look here
This collage series explores a layered encountered with the botanical world; the experience of coming close to a territory and the disruptions and layers that get in the way of that encounter. The cut outs act like a reframing; blocking out and shutting things off, re-shaping ways of looking.
Made through the use of house printers, every-day paper, often using phone cameras to generate images, the making of the collages carries a roughness to their making, where process is made visible, staying close to the failure of language (verbal and visual) that aims to represent ‘nature’, searching for something generative in that very failure.
Digitally printed £150 plus postage.
Each collage will be printed to order. Limited edition of 30 of each collage. Prints vary in size.
The prints have not been digitally airbrushed and you may see minor imperfections from the paper used which is all part of the artworks.
