Want to dance with somebody?

Walk and talk through the countryside in search of a phone signal, to hear a speciallycreated online playlist centred around the theme of loneliness. Then pay homage to the community vibe of the 90s rave scene by dancing together. And A Vital Connection is Made celebrates the power of both human and internet connection to bring us together.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Zoe is an artist with one foot in the conceptual, one foot in the visual and one foot in everything in-between. Her work centres around live art and social practices, with an inherent sense of unpredictability, discussion, fun, togetherness and ephemerality.

Can you talk the walk?

Participants are invited to explore aspects of loneliness and solitude through selected texts that offer different perspectives on these themes. The texts consider the differences between loneliness and being alone, rural remoteness, and artists’ experiences of solitude. While walking through the landscape solo, you’ll connect with another over the phone for an intimate exchange. Following the walk, you’ll be invited to share observations with others from different geographies in the virtual post-walk ‘pub chat’.

ABOUT THE GROUP

TWRG is a knowledge exchange project that facilitates rich conversations between people who’ve never met before while discussing a series of carefully selected texts.
