RE-ANIMATED is a virtual reality and video installation that investigates extinction, preservation, and immortality. It is a virtual ecosystem based on real plant and animal specimens that mixes primal habitats with emerging ecological realities. RE-ANIMATED meditates on our paradoxical techno-scientific trajectory, provoking fresh perspectives on our ecological future. It’s virtual landscape is both an entrancing ecosystem and a biotechnological laboratory for a resurrected, monstrously-scaled bird.
