A solitary performer works low on the ground with charcoal and paper. Over time, the graphic, material and acoustic residues of her drawing score spread, entangle and resonate across the site. You are free to walk around, come close, or view from afar.

Bibliotherapy for the Anthropocene is a performance in the guise of a reading group, a faux-Quaker meeting, a reconvening of the Dead Poets Society. No prior reading is necessary, all participants will receive reading material as part of the invitation in advance. Must have booked by Sun 23 May to attend. Missed it? A Moveable Feast with Fairland Collective

Join a shared but distanced meal by collecting a specially prepared takeaway picnic from the only surviving Victorian twineworks with its original machinery. Pick up a parcel to parade to your favourite location in the Cokers. Expect multiple courses, food to surprise and transport, toasts to read aloud to your dining companions, and your own personal tablecloth.

The Walking Reading Group: On Care
Mon 31 May, 2 – 5pm

Through selected texts, explore different ways of thinking about loneliness and being alone, rural remoteness and artists’ experiences of solitude. A series of intimate exchanges will emerge over an hour walk through the landscape. Participants will be paired up, exchange numbers and set out for an hour-long walk, connecting with another over the phone. You’ll be invited to share observations with others from different geographies when we reconvene on Zoom for the traditional post-walk pub chat.
Digital Collage with Duncan Poulton

Join artist Duncan Poulton for a workshop which offers an introduction to techniques for mining and misusing the web for creative reuse. Attendees will learn to delve deep into the internet to find images which have been lost and or hidden by search engines, and have a hands-on demonstration of how to make their own digital collages from the materials they gather. The workshop will be delivered using the open-source image editing software GIMP.
Tango Therapy with Heidi Kilpeläinen

The artist will sing to one person at a time, online via Zoom, while the rest of the audience listens. The listener can choose to sing back to the artist, in any language. Tango Therapy is an intimate and personal exchange of songs, without amplification. Understanding the lyrics is not necessary: melody and sentiment cross the borders of language.
